The new building includes the latest sustainable technology in order to minimise the impact on the environment.
The curved roof is covered in grass which incorporates a range of indigenous wild flowers. The roof maximises the thermal efficiency of the building whilst providing a new wildlife habitat which blends almost seamlessly into the contours of the surrounding Cotswold Hills.
The Hempcrete walls are made from a renewable and sustainable source and reverse the damaging effect of greenhouse gases whilst also achieving excellent thermal control.
Solar panels will be used to heat water and produce electricity whilst a geothermal heat pump system will assist temperature continuity.
Rainwater will be harvested and used in all amenity areas.
