We’re Kanes Foods, and we make great food that’s ready fast. From vibrant stir fries and crunchy salads to fresh egg noodles and delicious dressings, everything we deliver is freshly prepared in-house, with ingredients sourced as locally as possible.
Our story
Founded by Dr John Randall in 1990, Kanes Foods has always been at the top of the table when it comes to healthy, fresh food. “The Doc” believed that fast food didn’t have to mean poor quality food and set out to become a champion of the ready-to-eat salads and vegetables we love today.

Our products
Stir-fry vegetables
There’s an art to creating the perfect stir-fry mix. We do it by sourcing local British produce – some from just a few miles away – as well as exotic veg from our global suppliers. We chop, wash, slice and dice our vegetables, resulting in a variety of different mixes based on classic flavour profiles. Our stir-fry mixes are dispatched daily, so you know customers are getting the freshest, tastiest produce.
Noodles
Did you know we’re the only large-scale UK factory that stretches and cuts its egg noodles in house every day? It takes as little as 30 minutes to turn flour, egg and water into our tasty final product. We also make a range of rice and speciality noodles, including protein noodles, that we cook on site. Any of our noodles can be combined with delicious dressings to make them even more exciting.
Salad bowls
Our dedicated salad bowl lines produce some of the most popular salad bowls on the market. Whether you’re looking for something a little more complex or a high-volume, fast-moving product, we can tailor recipes to your customers’ tastes. We make everything from simple leafy bowls to complete salad meals, including protein, pasta, noodles, vegetables, toppings and our in-house dressings.
Stir-fry sauces
You’ll find our fresh stir-fry sauces in leading UK supermarkets. Made in the same factory as our dressings and marinades, our sauces are cooked to enhance their flavour and texture, then immediately packed so you get the freshest tasting sauces possible at home. We work with all kinds of flavours, from on-trend Katsu to classic Chinese Style.
Salad dressings
Good dressings transform a salad from humdrum to yum. We believe fresh dressings are the best, so our development team are always on the hunt for new flavours. We blend a variety of globally sourced spices, oils and herbs in our dedicated Spice Room, creating bespoke recipes on request.
Development Kitchen
